about

The first tune is associated with Clare/London fiddler Bobby Casey, who recorded it in 1975 with the recording being recently re-released on the 2015 ‘Maestro’ CD. Fellow Clare fiddler Junior Crehan learned the tune from influential Limerick dance master Pat Barron around 1935. McGreevy’s was recorded by fiddler Johnny McGreevy on a 1974 LP release ‘McGreevy and Cooley’, and appears to be a composition of Johnny’s.
